Lisbon Tours and Day Trips – Finding Your Agency and A Few Other Things
In our previous article “Lisbon Tours and Day Trips – Introduction” we have discussed why hiring a professional tourist agency to provide you with a guided tour throughout Lisbon is almost necessary when visiting this wonderful, historic city. This is especially important if sightseeing of major cultural and historic checkpoints is high on your list of priorities when visiting Lisbon.
In order to find a good tourist agency or a tour guide, the simplest, quickest, and easiest way to do so would be through an internet search. It is our advice that you conduct this search and ask any relevant questions before arriving in Lisbon. If, however, you prefer a more direct and personal approach, there are many tourist agencies located in various offices and hotels all throughout the city that you can look for upon your arrival. They should not be too hard to find. You can look for them and learn their addresses via internet or, if you speak some Portuguese, you may try your luck by approaching and asking people on the street. The Portuguese are generally rather pleasant and polite people and they will most likely be eager to help you out, and you will be able to personally experience human interaction in a new and exciting setting of the unique Portuguese culture.
