Aroeira is characterized by its tranquillity, where single-family houses predominate, many of which are part of consolidated condominiums or estates. Its close proximity to pristine beaches, provides holiday makers and owners a broad range of activities for anyone with any level of experience. From horse-riding, kite surf & surf lessons to paragliding, one will surely not forget your time spent on the endless golden sand beaches of Fonte da Telha or Costa da Caparica.

Fonte da Telha with its protected cliffs (Arrábida Fóssil) as a backdrop, is a and largely undiscovered beach by a fishing community at the southern end of Costa da Caparica. It’s the final stop of the Transpraia tourist train, which stops just before the village. Traditionally a bohemian and nude beach, it’s now a beach for everyone. The naturists tend to stay to the north while the southern stretch called Praia da Adiça is also for nude sunbathing (official naturist beach since 2015). It has golden sand, dunes and lush vegetation and is lined with bars and restaurants along seafront, where you can indulge yourself in the local cuisine, including fresh fish dishes made with the daily catch of the local fishermen. Fresh clams from the Lagoa de Albufeira are a “must have” as a starter to any meal.
